I cleaned off the roof of my garage and back end of home, and cleaned the gutters on the house. The moss level was... Moss/10.
My tools were: an extension ladder, a push broom, and bristled broom head, and two pairs of rubber gloves. I cannot close my right hand anymore .
But man it looks a hell of a lot better. I think only AiM would know how bad it was before, but I’m really satisfied. And it’s something I did for free.
I keep saying I’m done getting on roofs, but [godfatherpart3.gif]
Anyway, now for something cold while I watch the sky.

He won't sell it to me. I even told him I'd trade my red Toyota for his. He had a good belly laugh. I was crying inside.

Very nice. Did you run any bleach or similar over it?
Luna looks content.

i need to get up on my roof and clean out this week. Good news it is a one story ranch with very little pitch to the roof. Bad news, we have about a bazillion trees, so constant battle.
Good on ya for getting it done.

No, just a scrape for now. I usually just run vinegar instead of bleach.

I saw a Tacoma Limited down the street. I didn't even KNOW there was a Tacoma Limited.

My roof is incredibly steep in some places. I would love a rambler with an unfinished basement next time around, but I do like my office so it's alright.

Brutal. Big difference though. Guessing it took... 5 hours? 6 hours?

Eight. But I had tortilla soup for lunch!

That sounds tasty right about now. Nice job, hopefully that keeps the moss monster at bay for a while

My gutters are now over 20 feet high. So this year I modified my telescopic 16 foot roof rake. I already removed the rake and made a v - tip to scrape the gutters. But now I made it better. I stuck 20 feet of 3/8 tubing and stuck a quick connect to plug on my water hose. Stuck a nozzle(plastic tip used to inflate pool inflatables).
So far so good, way quicker than doing it by hand with a ladder and My two feet stay on the ground all the time. Also it works great.

I pay blokes for that twice a year. Takes a bit of time for them. I tip n them 6 0 bucks each on top of the flat rate. Hard work

Looks good!
I have a ranch with a 4/12
roof - aka it couldn’t be easier to get on - but with 3/4 of the house literally under trees, it is a battle there is no winning.

Did you lay down moss kill, baking soda and copper? It will help keep it from growing back during the soggy season.
